That's extremely depressing, but what's the deal with 57% not finishing a book they started?

Personally, I can't leave a movie theatre after it starts and I finish a book when I've begun it.

I can understand why 57% not finishing a book. There are so many good books out there, but so many dogs. I have a limited amount of time to read, so if I don't like something I'm out and on to the next thing.
